In this episode, Patricia interviews Kim Parkinson a podcast producer and director in her May series what should I be when I grow up? Patricia asks Kim what she was like when she was younger, what she did as she grew up, and how she found her passion. Kim summarizes her love for reading and crafts, her trials in many different job fields, and how she ended up in her current position.
Kim outlines what has made her successful within her field and how her interests as a child helped her develop her current skill sets. She is successful in podcasting, as it grants her flexibility and creativity which she found lacking in previous jobs. She suggests several exercises for listeners to find their passions. This includes giving every curiosity a try, taking classes, or even watching YouTube videos to hone interest.
Kim is currently working on her own podcast titled, Keep Creating You. Where she interviews women entrepreneurs and teaches listeners how to take the next step in their careers.
